Boykin gets 16 years

Thomas Boykin, the Ballou student who plead guilty to manslaughter in the shooting death of James Richardson, has been sentence to sixteen years in prison for his crime. The sentence is longer that expected; for manslaughter, D.C. Superior Court's sentencing guidelines recommend a term of four to 10 years for someone with no previous convictions.

UPDATE: More in the Examiner.
