Former DCPS employee gets 18 months

David Johnson, who used to work for the DCPS in their transportation division, has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for his part in a ticket fixing scandal.
David Johnson, 35, of the 4900 block of Fort Totten Drive NE, had already pleaded guilty to acting as a "middleman" in a bribery scheme in which he recruited "customers" to bribe city official Tonette Cooks.

Johnson is a former employee of the schools' Transportation Division.

Cooks admitted last year that she fixed traffic tickets for her "customers" and has already been sentenced to 18 months in prison.
