New year, new study

Education Week magazine has just released its 10th annual Quality Counts report (requires a subscription but you can obtain limited free access by clicking on the link at the top of the page). The good news? DC ranks about the same as Virginia and Maryland. The bad news? They're all C students; Maryland and Virginia were ranked overall as C+, DC as C-.

The Examiner has more on reactions to the report here.

UPDATE: DC Bubble has more.

Love your blog....By the way, DC Bubble has more on this very topic.
Conclusion: the report only underscores the fact the dc elemantry schools are as good as those in the suburbs.
