School board meets Wednesday on school consolidation

The Board of Education is meeting tonight tomorrow to vote on closing under used buildings within the school system. Considering Superintendent Janey isn't to reveal the details on which school are to be closed until April I'm not quite sure what the board will be voting on exactly.

UPDATE: Marc Borbely of FixOurSchools.net informed me that the meeting is actually tomorrow, and not today as I (and the linked WTOP article) has originally stated (and the Board of Education's calendar shows a meeting of the Committee of the Whole tomorrow)

UPDATE2: More from Marc
The District of Columbia Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Wednesday February 1, 2006 at 3:00 pm at 825 North Capitol Street, NE, 5th Floor Board Room.

The purpose of the meeting is to consider a resolution affirming the commitment of the Board of Education to eliminate space devoted to educational purposes.
