Running on the slogan "Together We Can," Graham said she will encourage families and the community to play an active role in improving the District's public education system.
"I believe that in a city rich in culture, history and heart, we can, together, find the resources and passion necessary to produce far-reaching change in our schools Â I am ready to change the dialogue around our educational system from what isn't happening to what can happen," Graham said during a midday press conference outside McKinley Technology High School at which she announced her candidacy for the nonpartisan race in the Nov. 7 election.
