Janey wants to tweak facilities plan

Superintendent Janey is tweaking the Master Facilities Plan again.
Janey told parents in Northeast last night that a plan unveiled last month to remodel more than 100 schools and close or consolidate 19 others is open to changes.

The Washington Post reports that Janey has moved renovation of Bunker Hill Elementary School ahead by seven years to 2008. He says students at Bunker Hill could be moved to Brookland Elementary during the remodeling.

The revisions mark a reprieve for Brookland which was once of the schools slated for closure soon.
More in the Post.
