Gilbert Arenas pledges money to District schools

Washington Wizards start Gilbert Arenas has pledged to donate $100 for every point he scores during home games this NBA season.
The money will help schools pay for computers, athletic uniforms, and equipment, and fund after-school programs. According to the Washington Wizards' website, team chairmen Abe and Irene Pollin will be doing the same for every Wizards road game. For every point Arenas scores in away games, the Pollins will give $100 to an area school.

Nice gesture.

Of course, if there's no change in the people who decide how the money gets spent then I don't expect it to have much of an impact.
