Archdiocese spokeswoman Susan Gibbs says 98 percent of teachers and 93 percent of parents have signed forms in support of the plan. The plan required the support of at least two-thirds of both groups.
The archdiocese said last fall that it could no longer afford to run the schools.

Parents and teachers support catholic to charter conversions
According to the Washington Archdiocese both the parents of the students and the teachers of the seven private catholic schools scheduled for conversion to charter schools are apparently behind the move.
