Ex-catholic, new charter schools open

The story mentions that all of the teachers at the school stayed on for this school year. Well, of course they did. Their salaries probably jumped 30-35%.

But there is also something bad about having the same teaching staff. You are taking a teaching staff that has been able to pick and choose students, teach the "teachable" kids, and ignore the rest. Now, if these former charter schools follow the rules, they will have to deal with some of the special needs children we have to accomodate in the public schools.
