VP Biden opens home to DCPS school children

Newly minted VP Joe Biden recently had an open house at their new VP residence at the Naval Observatory.
So Vice President Joe Biden and his wife Jill are following suit, opening their residence, the Naval Observatory, to about 200 Washington, D.C. public schoolchildren. Washington schools Chancellor Michelle Rhee selected 10 schools for the event.

"I have been an educator for many years, and know first-hand the value of exposing children to the rich history of our country. We are thrilled to welcome these young people as the first guests in our new home," Jill Biden said in a statement issued by the presidential inaugural committee.
