The DC Public Charter School Board just approved a 7-school charter, the lease for which calls for $1 million dollars a year to subsidize 4 Catholic schools that are NOT converting to Public Charters, but remain parochial Catholic schools. Unless either Norton, or the City Council, or the Mayor and the Schools Chancellor do something about this, gaining some overdue accountability and oversight with the Public Charter School Board someday in the future is just shutting the barn door after the horse got free.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
